trekking por Picos de Europa con nieve

Walking through the  Picos de Europa, enjoying the snow.

At the doorstep of gust house La Cortina the traveller will find Spain’s first National Park, the stunning Picos de Europa, which was declared a Biosphere Reserve in 2002.

The Picos de Europa are an impressive set of limestone, majestic peaks, and meandering canyons and gorges that were carved by ancient glaciers which have now turned to cristaline rivers.

The house is in a privileged enclave, and enjoys one of the best views of the area: the Sierra del Cuera on one side, the Picos de Europa on the other, and in front, just where the sun rises, the valley of Cabrales. Many mornings we delight ourselves with the mysterious beauty of a sea of clouds, a phenomenon that is quite frequent on hot days.

Far away from the noise and the congestion of the city, and close to some of the most beautiful beaches in Asturias and our most emblematic mountains, guest house La Cortina enjoys a privileged location, in the middle of everything.

Only 1.6 km away is the national road AS114. Pandiello is in the center of a circle of options for the visitor: unique and incredible mountain landscapes and a surprising and beautiful coastline.
